About Gio
I've loved doing all kinds of creative art since I was a kid in Mount Kisco, New York. I earned a certificate in commercial art when I was 18 and then went on to study at Parsons School of Design, earning my bachelor in fine art in 1998.
For most of my life I resided in Westchester, New York—while working in multiple different industries including publishing, fashion and real estate. Yet, the need to create and design was always present, regardless of whether I was working in an office, at home or on the road.
After many years of contemplating, I decided it was time to throw caution to the wind. My girlfriend and I packed up our lives and moved to sunny and warm Irvine, California. We’ve settled in nicely and still pinch ourselves to make sure that we’re not dreaming!
After years in the corporate world, I've really enjoyed being a doing freelancer work on the side. I do illustrations, portraits, magazines, book layouts, advertisements and logos, even signs, posters and newsletters. I enjoy working with a variety of clients—it makes life fun and interesting. My clients appear to enjoy working with me too (references are available), especially when they realize that I’ll go the extra mile for them.
My main interests are art, Macs (Apple computers), movies, video games and sports.
